Made by Biobag®, the Max Air Bin is a revolutionary product that enables you to collect household organics inside your home or office in an easy and hygienic way. Combined with the highly breathable 8 litre Biobags - they are a fantastic way to pre-sort your organic waste prior to composting!

Did you know?

  • Australians use approximately 4 billion plastic bags a year, or 10 million new bags each day (Source: Clean Up Australia, Plastic Bag Fact Sheet, 2010).
  • Plastic kills up to 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals each year (Source: Clean Up Australia, Plastic Bag Fact Sheet).

Combo Pack Includes:

  • 6.6 litre Max Air Ventilated Bin
  • 8 litre Biobag biodegradable bin liners

Key Features:

  • High quality compost is achieved through proper pre-sorting of food waste.
  • The Max Air ventilated bin ensures good ventilation and allows the moisture in the waste to evaporate.
  • Due to the moisture evaporation, the waste dries out.
  • This means that the waste does not rot and unpleasant smells are reduced.
  • The grid in the base ensures ventilation under the bag.
  • Design provides optimal ventilation in sides while holding bag in position.
  • The lid is ventilated with small holes and lid has an internal lip to prevent fruit fly intrusion.
  • Independent tests show that food waste left in the MaxAir bin for one week will lose 42% of its weight.
  • The Max Air Ventilated Bin is best used with the highly breathable 8 litre BioBag.
  • BioBags also have a high penetration barrier against bacteria, spores, viruses and mould.
  • This system makes it easy to transfer your organic waste to your home worm farm or municipal organic collection programme.
  • The bins last for around 8-10 years and can be fully recycled.

Materials Used:

  • The body of the Max Air ventilated bin is made from recycled polypropylene (plastic).
  • The lid is made from a mixture of virgin and recycled polypropylene (for rigidity).
  • Biobags are made from the raw material Mater-BiTM, which contains renewable resources (such as non-genetically modified starch derived from corn or potato), biodegradable polyester (mainly derived from non-GMO vegetable oils) & natural plasticisers (made from non-GMO vegetable oils, free from Phthalates).

Eco Tips:

Composting:

  • Biobags are certified as home compostable by AiB Vinçotte according to the European Standard EN13432.
  • The highly breathable and compostable Biobag, combined with the MaxAir ventilated bin, makes pre-sorting of food waste easy & hygienic for households.
  • If you prefer to put your organic waste into bags prior to composting - then the Biobag is a great option for you!

Biobags in the environment:

  • Biobags will biodegrade in any environment containing bacteria - whether a compost heap, the soil or the sea.
  • Because the Biobag is heavier than water, the bag will sink from the surface and biodegrade at the bottom of the sea, river or lake. It does not eliminate the hazard for marine wildlife, but significantly reduces it.

Recycling:

  • The Max Air ventilated bin is made from recycled plastic and can be recycled at the end of its life cycle.
