Materials Used:

• Chlorine-free wood pulp fluff, Sodium polyacrylate (also referred to as SAP or absorbent gel), Polyolefin nonwoven fabric, Adhesives, Polyolefin film, Synthetic rubber elastic strands.

NOTES:

• Sodium Polyacrylate: Seventh Generation uses an absorbent polymer (gel) in their nappies as it is the best method they have found for keeping babies dry and reducing diaper rash. Their exhaustive research on this gel has shown that it is non-toxic and safe for babies while helping to keep them dry and comfortable. Independent scientific research on this chemically inert gel has shown that it is non-toxic, not carcinogenic and non-irritating to the skin.
• ECF Tissue: One part of the nappy, a thin sheet of tissue, is bleached using chlorine dioxide (element chlorine free). Seventh Generation are actively working to find an alternative material that is totally chlorine free.
